And before you say "working dads too!", yes, working fathers have also been impacted by the changes to our work/life balance brought about by the pandemic and related lockdowns. 

But 40% of South African mothers are raising their kids alone, and traditionally (supported by global research) much of the household workload falls on the female spouse.

Studies also show that working women, particularly those with children aged 0 to 5, find balancing work and family more difficult during the Covid-19 pandemic.
