When you first become a parent, you sign up for a lot of things, knowingly if not willingly.

We know (mostly through the advice of others) to prepare our minds for teething, colic, growing pains, developmental leaps, picky eaters and the countless sleepless nights that will cripple us.

We know our sex lives will take a dive, and we know we'll ultimately lose ourselves in this new role, for better or for worse.
