In her post, she said, "Name something about the way you raise your kids that people think is weird, but you think has been really healthy for them. I'll go first..."
"So I've never told my kids that there was a Santa Claus, Easter Bunny or Tooth Fairy at all and my reasoning behind that is, I never wanted to build my children's childhood on lies. I never wanted to build their hopes up, only to have them crushed later."
She admitted that she was often criticised by others, saying that she is hindering her children's imagination. She was accused of not allowing her children to be children.
But she believes that she is allowing her children to have an imagination of their own by not putting imaginary creatures in their head.
In her defence she said, "they still got Christmas presents, they still got Easter baskets, and I rewarded them and praised them for getting their teeth out and all the other things that people normally get."
But she did not make them believe in something that wasn't true.
