Donna and Gavin Hendricks, enjoying a very rare date night. It's hard to get out when there are 2 small kids demanding all your (very limited) spare time! Here we celebrated Gavin's birthday with a lovely steak dinner. Although our children mean the world to us, it was so nice to be able to enjoy a meal in a relaxing atmosphere with adult conversation, no messy tables and no tantrums! This was in July 2016, the last time we had a date night. Don't you think its about time that we are due for another one? This mama and papa needs the break!

My husband and I went to see The Notebook at Galileo Open Air Cinemas, which was held at Century City Club House that night.
It was lovely to be on a date after such a long time (we have a six year old boy, Jonah Alexander who is in grade 1 this year and keeps us very busy) and the open air cinema was a new experience for us. It reminded us of the "Drive in" dates we use to have when we were younger. - Samantha and Craig Alexander

My husband and I are married for seven years and we had a lovely date night in our spare room. Candles, music and finger snacks. We have neglected spending quality time with each other. We had such a great evening. - Collette and Nico Botha

Let's put this simply... We have 2 babies that have an age difference of 10,5 months, so date night was definitely overdue in the Pillay household. This selfie is the first one we took after we had our first child 2 years ago. We finally felt granny and grandpa were capable of looking after the little ones so we ventured out for some R&R.
We did not do anything unique, we in fact went to a cosy dim sum bar for wining and dining. We did not want to waste too much time out on the town so we hit home. We made popcorn and climbed under the blankets and watched a movie interrupted with surround sound ON! It was amazeballs lol. Just being alone in each other's presence knowing the other was enjoying themselves too was priceless. - Delia and Sanjay Pillay
I hope we will from now on keep this traditional alive, to take some time for ourselves, because above being parents, we are still partners to each other. - Nicoleen and James Meeding

We don't often do.dates because we miss having our little guy with us. We often take a day off and go for lunch, massages or a movie. It's always good to reconnect and 100% relax. - Mira and Brandon Naidu.

My hubby and I make it a must once a month having two kids that are old enough to take care of themselves. We have one night/day out to either have a dinner and dance, massage and lunch or just chill out and have some drinks. Here we are at Newscafe for a night of dinner, drinks and dance - Adel and Yogan Naiker
