After 35 years couples in China will now be allowed to have two children.

The announcement was made after a four day summit by the Communist Party where heightened concerns for the economy were debated.
The policy became more relaxed due to a growing economy and an ageing population in more recent years.
The scrapping of the one-child policy means an increase in sales for many baby companies and brands and a relief to all couples wanting a second child.
It has not yet clear when the new policy will be implemented.
