What's the best advice you got?

accreditation

Trying to conceive is an emotional time for a couple and it can add strain to the relationship. Add to that, outside pressures like your parents asking when they are going to be grandparents and random acquaintances feeling that it's not invasive at all to ask when are you having kids.

Everybody has an opinion on your situation. Some people are completely unhelpful with advice like: "Just relax! It will happen" or "We didn't even try, don't think about it".

We asked our Facebook fans and Twitter followers what the best advice the they got while trying to conceive.

It really bugs me when someone says that to me. Makes me feel that it is my fault. best advice was to explore every avenue. Check everything. Even if you think it might not be it. The more info you have the better you can plan your journey (and make sense of it) - Michelle Gray Roberts

I battled for 3yrs and had to hear that a lot! Then I fell pregnant but ended in MC, and then I got obsessed. How can people say "relax and forget about it, then it will happen" if they keep on asking you if you r pregnant yet? Anyway, after I got obsessed, I would lie with my legs up in the air for half an hour everytime, and 4mnths later I was pregnant again, lg was born in may 2011 - Amanda Londt

You're taught (fairly!) at school that pregnancy happens easily, so it's a huge adjustment to make if it doesn't happen the minute you 'decide' to fall pregnant. It can take much, much longer than you expect. - Scott Dunlop

Immediately start with the folic acid and other vitamins - @LezindaHenning

Keep it fun and try not to only focus on the goal of the baby. Enjoy the special bonding time with your partner. - @MommysToes

Have fun? - @uzairparker

It doesn't always happen immediately. - @Squidsquirt
