My husband is not the father of my child.

Many couples have problems with conceiving children, and tire of trying day-in and day-out; a lot of them resort to the option of artificial insemination, but what if this went horribly wrong?

This had happened to a family from Utah who struggled to conceive. They went to their local clinic and always believed that the sperm that was provided was from the husband, but ultimately, it wasn’t.

The women’s daughter was said to be fathered by a man called Thomas Lippert, he was previously arrested for kidnapping.

Imagine giving birth to a kidnapper’s child without knowing…

The mother, who doesn’t want to be identified, said she was shocked at the news. They were aware that there could have been some sort of mix-up and soon after finding out, they attempted contacting the clinic but then learned that it no longer existed.

With knowing that, the parents then used the daughter’s DNA to identify the man who fathered their child. Thomas Lippert, the sperm donor was a former employee at the clinic they had the insemination done.

The mother said that she remembered seeing a number of photos behind the desk of which Lippert sat and said he was extremely proud of all the children the clinic had facilitated.

The question hangs in the air… How many of those children has he fathered?

Thomas Lippert was an ex-college professor before he worked at the clinic, who served two years in prison for a high profile kidnapping case. He kidnapped a girl from college and kept her for three weeks to perform a “love experiment” on her. He kept her in a black box and used electroshock therapy on her to make her fall in love with him.

Why would a fertility clinic employ someone who was capable of doing something so bizarre?

According to The Stir, the mom says she would have gone through anything to have their child and it doesn’t change the family feelings at all.

DNA is very important, but the DNA isn’t what makes them your child, it’s the love and bond the two of you share and build while rearing them.

How would you feel about finding out that the child you gave birth to, you shared with a criminal?
