I have been diagnosed with PCOS in 2002. Been on Fertomid, ovulate when on it. I had Cysts removed in 2006 from both ovaries. I had a hormone test done. My estrogens were high and progesterone was low. I do not know what to do? With the last visit to Gino he told me to stop wasting my time and money and go to Fertility Clinic for help. What the use of doing IVF or IUI and hormones is wrong, cannot take another Miscarriage. Want to be health first. (I had a miscarriage in 2002, before they diagnosed PCOS).
Your doctor is right. You will have to see a fertility specialist at a fertility clinic. Do not waste any more time, because you are getting older. Do it now, before it is too late.
Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder. It is the most common hormonal disorder among women. Proteins or steroids secreted directly into the blood stream are called hormones. Many of your body's normal, everyday, functions is regulated by hormonal substances such as sexual function, metabolism of minerals, regulation of fluids, and your responses to stress, reproduction, and pregnancy. When there are malfunctions in the hormonal process, your body is drastically affected.
Some symptoms of polycystic ovarian syndrome include:
- Irregular or absent periods
- Excess hair growth on the face and/or body
- Male-pattern hair thinning
