# Maths made easy: Explaining functions

Functions is an important concept in mathematics to grasp.

The Maths is Fun website offers a great post about functions. Here's a small screen grab of the introduction:

The article offers a long explanation of functions, including: input, output and their relationship; sets; the rules of functions; examples of when a relationship between numbers or sets is NOT a function; the vertical line test; finite and infinite sets; lots of the terms used for functions, including domain, co-domain and range, argument, variables, etc; ordered pairs; explicit vs implicit functions.

It ends with a few interactive online questions to test the learner's grasp of functions. Highly recommended!
