For the Inland cluster of provinces, including the Free State, Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and North West, the first term starts 12 January and ends 17 March

For the Coastal cluster of provinces including the Eastern Cape, Kwazulu-Natal, Northern Cape and Western Cape, the first term starts 19 January and ends 25 March. All other dates for the Inland cluster and Coastal cluster are the same.
