The Covid-19 pandemic has forced us all to adapt and to find new ways to do the things we used to.

Even the most basic things!

Like greet schoolkids with a handshake or a high five - physical distancing is one of the recommended ways to avoid spreading Covid-19 infection, so students and teachers can no longer greet each other at the start of the day this way.

However, that didn't stop this innovative Dutch teacher from finding a way to keep up his morning ritual.

Teacher Mark, at Basisschool Olof Palme in Drunen, Netherlands, uses this 'safe high five machine' to welcome the students to class each day. Invented by artist Henk van den Berg, the contraption brightens everyone's day.

And it's just genius.
