After becoming accustomed to life in isolation, there's no denying that things are starting to resemble pre-pandemic life.

For many, this means travel has again become an option. According to data, more people travelled internationally in January 2022 alone than the entire previous year.

And while travelling might be trending in 2022, Bounce, a global luggage storage app, has found that travel-inspired baby names have been a thing for decades.

The app's research found that parents commonly name their children after a favourite holiday destination, honeymoon spot, or the city where they conceived their children.

To find the most popular travel-related baby names, the luggage app researchers scanned through two decades of international data (2000 to 2020), including the UK's Office for National Statistics and the US Census Bureau.

"We created a list of potential travel-related baby names using a wide variety of inspirations, including country names, capital cities, rivers, mountains, general travel-related terms, and other major cities and travel destinations from around the world".

Here's a look at the lists they compiled.
