All hell broke loose this week as British mom, Josie Barnes, announced that she has named her 7-month-old baby son... Lucifer.
The 27-year-old mom of two has since gone viral and received all kinds of backlash, from relentless comments to death threats!
The name Lucifer hails from Latin origins and means "the morning star" or "light-bringer".
However, the name is more commonly associated with Lucifer, the name of one of God's fallen angels, notoriously known as 'Satan' or the 'Devil'.

'Let them do it!'
Though the mom innocently chose the name from a baby book she had read, she says she has received a lot of criticism.
Some people believe that it is no-one else's business what someone names their child, while others worry it might not be painting the correct path for the little one.
In a public participation interview, one participant said, "if they wanted to name their kid 'Lucifer' or 'Blue Dolphin' or 'Blue Whale', then go ahead, let them do it!"
However, not everyone agreed.
"That's very evil, I would never do that," said one participant.
"I think it could be really hard on the kid as they grow up. That could just be hard, because people do have their opinions and a lot of them could be very rude and mean these days. It could probably be a hard life," said another.
