Biggest babies in the world

Every baby is different but thankfully the average baby born only weighs between 2.5kgs and 4kgs. There are times when a baby can be much smaller or much heavier than that. Some studies show that it could be due to the age of the birth mother or even her weight.

No matter the reason, we've collected 8 of the biggest babies ever born across the world.

The biggest baby ever recorded by the Guinness World Book of Records is a boy born to a giantess named Anna Haining Swan (1846 - 1888). The baby boy was born on 19 January 1879 and unfortunately died soon after.
