Mom and journalist Chantelle Whittles is sharing her pregnancy diary with Parent24: she and her husband, and their little boy, are expecting triplets!
Follow her diary below as she reveals what to expect when expecting triplets:
"...I really felt like I was the only member at a Trevor Noah show, and every joke was directed at me. Because how is this even possible?!"
If you are shocked like we are, read her second diary below as she reveals the news to her husband:
"I too struggled as I just could not fathom how something so special was happening to us. I was scared to tell people that we're expecting triplets because it's a high-risk pregnancy and something no one close to me, or someone I personally know has ever experienced."
Making Nikolai understand the storm that's coming
"His father also recently showed him a picture of triplets lying in their cot. His frank response, "Yoh pappa daai is baie babas." He's since said that he's happy with just one brother and sister."
An egg-stra special reveal!
"I was nervous, not just because it was finally the BIG REVEAL, but also because it dawned on me that I had to become a professional golf player in two seconds".
What does preparing for a three baby pregnancy look like?
'I can already picture our own little production line at home, feeding, burping and changing nappies. And of course, the bath routines and LOADS of laundry we’ll have to do".
Sleep, every pregnant mom's dilemma
"And maybe this is just a taste of things to come (ha!)".
"What we will do though, is to let them wear their hospital ID wristbands just a little while longer at home, so that we can get used to who’s who".
Are you going to breastfeed?
'I forget that there are three tiny human beings actually growing inside of me'
The new normal
'What we know as our normal now, won't be normal for much longer.'

'God sure put some really special people in our lives''God sure put some really special people in our lives'
'They thought the nurse wanted to play hide and seek'
'They move frequently throughout the day and make fists/bumps against my tummy. It’s so cute to see, but also weird at the same time.'
Five weeks left until we meet our three precious babies!
The excitement at home is building. I don't think anyone can sit still for too long, because things need to get done.
Thirty weeks in, four weeks left! It's almost D-day!
My preggy bump is getting bigger and heavier and walking up and down is not something I enjoy doing right now.
3 weeks to go!
It's my third week of maternity leave, and I've been keeping myself busy by packing our hospital bags.
