Mattel, and the creators of Barbie, have introduced three new body types for their newest range.
We all remember the traditional face and body of Barbie as a slender, blonde and pale-skinned girl who became an icon and somewhat of a role model to young girls all over the world.
In keeping up with the times Barbie will now become available in three different shapes including tall Barbie, petite Barbie and curvy Barbie.
In addition to body type, the new range of Barbies will also include new skin types and hair, giving customers a much broader range to choose from.
We think this is a great step forward as far as diversifying the selection of Barbie's body type and other features goes.

The new range has been coded 'Project Dawn' suggesting a revolutionary change and a dawn of a new era for Mattel's Barbie.
Petite Barbie
The exciting new range of Barbies are currently for sale online and will be available in stores later this year.
