Shudufhadzo Musida became Miss South Africa 2020 at a difficult time last year when our country was in turmoil due to the spread of Covid-19.

Nonetheless, she is known as an advocate for mental health awareness and empowering women and children across the world and impacted many during this time through her Instagram sessions on mental health, helping so many to deal with their daily struggles.

Through this all, she did not forget about the children.

She's has written a book for kids titled 'Shudu finds her Magic', published by Jacana Media in six languages and illustrated by Chantelle and Burgen Thorne.

Shudu shared on Instagram that the book is "A piece of my heart captured on a page, written especially for kids. A story of struggles and hope. Of falling down and getting back up and of the incredible journey we call life!"

She says she hopes that through her story readers will find comfort in the fact that they are not alone, that they matter, that the world needs them.

"None of us are perfect, we were never meant to be and that’s what makes us so special," she says.

The book will be available towards the end of August, online and in bookstores.
