When Bruce Reyneke opened his bicycle shop in Struben Street in Pretoria, he put his name on the door.

There were no social media consultants and that is how businesses named themselves in those days. Three and a bit decades later, Bruce is still behind the counter greeting regular customers with a customary, "howzit, howzit."

In 1988 people liked to deal with people and Reyneke believes that sticking to that concept has been a significant contributor to his success and survival in a rapidly changing industry.
