WATCH | Biking is booming during the pandemic

In Portugal the cycling industry is booming during the pandemic. The country is Europe's biggest bike maker and produced 2.7 million units in 2019.

But in 2020, as the pandemic forced people to avoid public transport as well as ridesharing, one firm has seen orders double.

Portugal however isn't alone. According to the World Economic Forum, the US also recorded a massive jump of 121% in the demand for leisure bikes in March 2020.
