  • The influential virtual riding platform is supporting Pride Month for a third year
  • There will be workouts, designed by LGBTQIA+ riders
  • And you can unlock Pride Month digital riding gear, too

The world’s most popular virtual cycling platform has announced a selection of affiliate athletes and ride events, for Pride Month.

With more than 3m registered users, Zwift is the digital world that riders escape into, when weather or schedules, prevent them from training outside.

Powered by the increased awareness around fitness, and lockdown forcing more people to train from home, Zwift has become enormously influential in the way that cyclists structure their riding habits.

During this June, which is global Pride Month, Zwift will change its 'Ride On' thumbnail to a 'Pride On'.

Integrating LGBTQIA+ design influences

"This year, the inspiration for Pride On drew on multiple designs. The Mosaic pattern provided the overall theme. We borrowed new colours, hues, and tints from numerous LGBTQIA+ flags like the Philadelphia Pride Flag, Daniel Quasar’s Progress Pride Flag, and Monica Helms’ Transgender Flag. All with a single goal in mind: a new design rooted in representation, inclusion, and progression."

Some of the most renowned Zwift LGBTQIA+ riders will lead training segments throughout Pride Month. You can ride a mountain bike Zwift stage with Lea Davidson, who is an Olympian. Triple UCI BMW World Champion, Britain’s Shanaze Reade, will also be present, to lead some rides.

Zwift’s ‘Workout of the Week’ during June, will be designed in a collaboration between LGBTQIA+ riders and Zwift staff. All Zwifters will have access to these ‘Workouts of the Week’, but clicking on the named folder in the training section of their Zwift app.

Riding during Pride Monthis also about looking good and Zwifters can unlock the new 2021 pride jerseys, bibs and socks, for their digital cycling avatars.
