Entries for the 2023 Berg & Bush have opened and for many Gauteng, upcountry and KZN riders, this remains a terrific trail riding mountain bike event.

For weekend warriors, logistics can be challenging when balancing family life and an event schedule.

With the race starting near Harrismith, midway between Gauteng and Durban, Berg & Bush is logistically easy for most mountain bikers outside the Western Cape. A three-hour drive from Johannesburg or Durban is easily doable.
