Cape Town - Michael Hussey has clubbed an unbeaten 57 off 48 balls, as the Chennai Super Kings cruised to an eight-wicket win over the Brisbane Heat in their Champions League Twenty20 Group B clash at the JSCA International Stadium on Saturday.

According to the website, only Ben Cutting, who struck a five-six 42 not out off 25 balls, had made any real headway for the Heat, who were restricted to 137 for seven after being asked to bat by MS Dhoni.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were irresistible for CSK, with Ashwin conceding only 10 runs in his four overs, and Jadeja equally miserly, with figures of two for 18.

In reply, the Super Kings made a brisk start, with Murali Vijay (42 off 27 balls) finally finding some form, adding 75 for the first wicket with Hussey.

Once Vijay departed, Suresh Raina made a breezy 23, before Hussey and Dhoni applied the finishing touches, winning with 25 balls to spare, to seal a semifinal slot.
