New Delhi - South Africa captain Faf du Plessis won the toss on Monday and decided to bowl first against Sri Lanka in their ICC World Twenty20 Group 1 game.
Dinesh Chandimal is leading defending champion Sri Lanka after Angelo Mathews pulled out due to a hamstring injury he suffered while batting for an unbeaten 73 in the previous game against England.
Seam bowler Dushmantha Chameera is also out with injury. The game will decide which team finishes third in the group, with the West Indies and England having already qualified for the semi-finals.
Shehan Jayasuriya and Suranga Lakmal have replaced them in the team.
South Africa made three changes to their side, bringing in Dale Steyn, Kyle Abbott and Farhaan Behardien for Kagiso Rabada, Chris Morris and Rilee Rossouw.
