Paarl - The match between the Cape Cobras and the Dolphins has been called off due to rain and a wet outfield, after only two overs were bowled during the Cobras innings in Paarl on Friday.

Both teams were awarded two log points after umpires Adrian Holdstock and Brad White inspected the field at 19:15 and decided to abandon the match.

The Cobras had won the toss and elected to bat first, but the match start was delayed by an hour due to the weather. When the teams made it out to the middle, Kyle Abbott and Craig Alexander bowled one over each, with Abbott dismissing Andrew Puttick for four.

Teams:

Cape Cobras

Andrew Puttick, Dane Vilas (wk), Omphile Ramela, Stiaan van Zyl, Justin Ontong (captain), Yasseen Vallie, Justin Kemp, Shaheen Khan, Dane Piedt, Charl Langeveldt, Lizaad Williams

Dolphins

Morne van Wyk (captain, wk), Jonathan Vandiar, Khaya Zondo, Vaughn van Jaarsveld, Cody Chetty, Cameron Delport, Daryn Smit, Robbie Frylinck, Kyle Abbott, Graham Onions, Craig Alexander.
