Cape Town - A Cricket South Africa (CSA) insider has revealed that the organisation had conceded all control for India's tour to South Africa to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

CSA on Wednesday announced the fixture list for India's tour to South Africa in December. The tour was severely shortened upon request of the BCCI.

India will only play two Test matches and three One-Day Internationals against South Africa, as well as a two-day tour match against a South Africa Invitation XI in Benoni.

CSA had initially planed a tour of three Tests, seven ODIs and three T20s.

Newlands - the most supported ground in SA - was snubbed as a venue for any of the ODIs and Tests, with Kingsmead in Durban and Wanderers in Johannesburg each hosting a Test and an ODI. The other ODI will be played at SuperSport Park in Centurion.

The insider, speaking to the Cape Times on condition of anonymity, said CSA had in effect conceded all control of the tour to the Indian board.

The insider also said that everything about the scheduling of the tour had to be approved by the BCCI.

The two Test match venues - Johannesburg and Durban - are the only two venues where India had previously won Tests in South Africa.

India's animosity stems from their soured relationship with CSA CEO Haroon Lorgat.

Lorgat will also not be dealing with matters related to the tour and will instead take care of all domestic affairs at CSA.

India Tour Itinerary:

December 5: 1st ODI, Wanderers (Day/Night)
December 8: 2nd ODI, Kingsmead (Day)
December 11: 3rd ODI, SuperSport Park (Day/Night)

December 14-15: Two-day tour match v SA Invitation XI, Willowmoore Park

December 18-22: 1st Test, Wanderers
December 26-30: 2nd Test, Kingsmead
