What Cricket South Africa's (CSA) Members' Council was thinking reneging on its deal with Sports Minister Nathi Mthethwa to adopt the new interim board as CSA directors nobody quite knows.

The ill-judged and ill-timed move only served to sow seeds of deep distrust between the Members’ Council, cricket's highest decision-making body in the country, and the interim board that the former this week finally made official.
