Cape Town - England will take a 2-0 lead in their four-Test series against the Proteas at Newlands, if bookmakers are to be believed...

England were crushing victors at Kingsmead in Durban in the opening Boxing Day Test by 241 runs, and will head to Newlands full of confidence.

They will be further boosted by the news that Dale Steyn has been ruled out of duty in Cape Town.

Furthermore, England are expected to have spearhead James Anderson back from injury - and the fact that some 10 000 'Barmy Army' supporters are due to descend on the Mother City won't hurt their cause at all.

Leading SA bookmakers Sportingbet have England as 11/8 favourites for the Test, while South Africa - who do boast an impressive record at Newlands - can be backed at 33/20.

The draw is on offer at 11/4.

No rain is expected for Cape Town, nor is bad light likely to be an issue, for the Test starting on Saturday, January 2.
