Cape Town - England destroyed the Proteas in their opening T20 international at the Rose Bowl in Southampton on Wednesday.
Stand-in Proteas skipper AB de Villiers won the toss and elected to bat and was the visitors' top-scorer in posting 65* off 58 balls as South Africa reached 142/3 in their alloted 20 overs.
De Villiers was helped by Farhaan Berhardien (64* off 52 balls) as the pair put on an unbroken 110 runs for the fourth wicket.
However, England were untroubled by the Proteas attack as Alex Hales (47* off 38) and Jonny Bairstow (60* off 35) plundered the inexperienced line-up to all parts of the ground in winning by 9 wickets with a full 5 overs and 3 balls to spare.
The second T20 will take place at Taunton on Friday.
The first ball will be bowled at 18:00 SA time.
