Cape Town - Dawid Malan helped England setup up an extremely competitive total in the third and final T20 international played at Sophia Garden in Cardiff.
Sent into bat by stand-in Proteas skipper, AB de Villiers, England ended on 181 for 8 after their allotted 20 overs.
This was thanks to a fine 78 off just 44 balls from Malan which included 12 fours and 2 sixes.
England were gifted a few opportunities as the Proteas put down a number of chances in the field.
Malan received excellent support from Alex Hales (36) and stand-in England skipper, Jos Buttler (31), while Dane Paterson was the pick of the South African bowlers with 4/32 in his allotted four overs which certainly stopped England from crossing the magical 200 run mark.
