There was no other way for Cricket South Africa (CSA) to halt its careering descent into the gutter, but for their board members to resign.

They didn't all do so willingly, and some clung on for dear life to the three precious P's that being a director affords them: power, privilege and perks. You could add presidential box as a fourth, but all of that is implied under the perks.
