Cape Town - Proteas spinner Imran Tahir has fallen from the top of the ICC T20 bowling rankings following the conclusion of the 2-1 series defeat against England.
Tahir has been replaced by Pakistan's ICC Champions Trophy-winning side's member Imad Wasim as the No 1-ranked T20I bowler.
The Proteas spinner lost some ground and slipped two places after he managed only one wicket in two matches.
His drop to third means Wasim has surged to the top for the first time in his career, with India's fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah rising to second.
In the other major movements in the bowlers' table, South Africa's Chris Morris has vaulted 32 places to 29th.
Proteas skipper AB de Villiers, who was the leading run-scorer in the series with 146 runs, returned to the top 20 in 20th position after rising 12 places.
Meanwhile, in the ICC T20I team rankings, England have moved into outright second position while the Proteas have dropped one position to sixth, fractionally ahead of Australia on 110 points.
