While it took some time for everything to fall into place, the arrival of England on South African shores signals the first international cricket in the country since all sport was suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
During the course of the series, which comprises three T20 internationals and three ODIs, both teams will stay within a bio-secure environment with matches being played at either Newlands in Cape Town or Boland Park in Paarl.
And with the series starting with the first T20 international on Friday, the Proteas were hard at work in preparation for the clash over the last few days.
