Cape Town - Titans all-rounder David Wiese has been added to the Proteas squad for the first two ODIs against England on Wednesday and Saturday.

Wiese was named on Monday afternoon as the replacement in the squad for Albie Morkel, who had pulled out on Sunday after suffering a back injury.

Morkel was not in the initial squad of 13, but after Dale Steyn was ruled out of the series and then Kyle Abbott was declared unavailable for the first match in Bloemfontein, Morkel was added alongside Marchant de Lange.

Abbott is expected to return to the squad for the second ODI in Port Elizabeth on Saturday, but with plans to give rests to the likes of Kagiso Rabada and Morne Morkel, Wiese has been kept on for that game too.

Wiese has played three ODIs and 12 T20Is for South Africa.
