Pretoria - The Titans have been boosted by the arrival of Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal as they attempt to claw back the ground between themselves and the domestic T20 table-topping Cape Cobras at Newlands, Cape Town, on Wednesday.

Ajmal landed in South Africa on Tuesday morning, fresh from a memorable Test win over Sri Lanka in the United Arab Emirates, and will go straight into the Titans side for Wednesday.

"He's one of the best in the world at what he does, so it will be great to see him with a sky-blue top on," said Titans coach Rob Walter.

The Titans will also have Marchant de Lange available after a long injury lay-off, but Walter suggested that the fast bowler may not gain selection at this stage.

"Marchant is fit to play. The trick really is trying to find a place for him with the side that we do have. But his time will come at some point in the season so it's just about being ready for that."

The Cobras go into the match with a seven-point lead over the Warriors and a nine-point lead over the Titans, who have played a game less than the two sides above them.

"What we've done really well in this competition is we've made some technical changes according to the opposition that we're playing," said Cobras captain Justin Ontong.

Having won both of their games over the weekend, the Cobras are unlikely to make too many changes for Wednesday, with Graeme Smith away for one final game.

JP Duminy will play his last match before taking a break, while Hashim Amla is likely to play the next two games.
