Capw Town - England all-rounder Ben Stokes reckons he's found the perfect way to stop Proteas ace AB de Villiers from scoring runs.
De Villiers was in scintillating form on Saturday night as he guided the Royal Challengers Bangalore to a six-wicket victory over the Delhi Daredevils in an IPL clash in Bengaluru.
Chasing 175 for victory, De Villiers smashed 90* off just 39 deliveries (10x4, 5x6) to see his side home.
His innings drew a significant response from social media, with players past and present commenting on one of the finest shot-makers cricket has ever seen.
One of those who was impressed was England all-rounder Ben Stokes, who took to Twitter to find a unique way of keeping De Villiers quiet.
Stokes poked fun at one of the most infamous moments in cricket history, where Trevor Chappell bowled an under-arm delivery to New Zealand batsman Brian McKechnie to stop him from hitting the six runs he needed for New Zealand to win the match.
Given the way AB was batting on Saturday, it might not be a bad call.
