Cape Town - Cricket South Africa (CSA) is reportedly hopeful of securing the services of Indian players for next year's T20 Global League.

The first edition of the tournament was due to start in November this year, but CSA took the decison to pull the plug on the entire showpiece as fears of financial viability grew.

It was an embarrassing time for CSA, but plans are currently in place to try and get the tournament off the ground in November 2018.

And, according to a report on Cricinfo, CSA wants to explore the possbility of securing a few Indian stars for the competition.

That would be difficult given that the Indian domestic season would be in full swing and that India could be playing in a home series over that time, but CSA president Chris Nenzani said he had "hope".

Nenzani added that he would be having discussions with Indian representatives over the coming summer, saying that the inclusion of Indian players would "open up a huge market for us".
