Cape Town - The selection of Gulam Bodi ahead of Kevin Pietersen at the Dolphins back in 2000 was largely considered as the final straw that forced Pietersen to pack his bags and leave for greener pastures in England.
Pietersen said as much in his 2006 autobiography Crossing the Boundary and now, 16 years later, England's all-time leading run-scorer (across all three formats) was finally able to state publicly how he felt about the man who potentially cost him a future in South African cricket.
Bodi was on Monday banned from all cricketing activity for 20 years after confessing his involvement in attempted match-fixing during last year's Ram Slam T20 Challenge - and it didn't take Pietersen long to get stuck in on social media.
Pietersen's own international career appears to be over, though he has stated he remains available for selection in all formats.
Been wanting to say this publicly for 16yrs, so gonna say it now - BODI YOU ????! https://t.co/jNsSlr4Vr2
