Edgbaston - Pakistan seamer, Sohail Khan, has spoken about his preparation for the England series after taking 5 for 96 to help his team bowl the hosts out on day one of the third Test at Edgbaston.

The paceman has said that he watched a lot of James Anderson's bowling to prepare himself, for bowling in England.

Speaking after play, Sohail said: "I’ve watched a lot of Jimmy Anderson’s bowling especially here in England,

"I’ve learnt a lot from the way he bowls.

"Today I tried to pitch it up and let it swing.

"I've had a few injuries over the years but now I feel like I’m a more complete bowler."

Sohail has been in the Test wilderness for five years, last playing against Zimbabwe in 2011 and before that featuring in only one other Test against Sri Lanka, where he finished wicketless as Mahela Jayawardene, and Thilan Samaraweera both whacked double tons.

The man from Malakand, who once trained with oil cans full of cement, and by swimming upstream is delighted to get another shot at Test success.

Sohail's success adds to what is already an enthralling series with a decided redemption narrative, especially from Pakistan's point of view.

The seamer continued: "I dreamt of taking five wickets in a Test match every day that I was out of the Pakistan team,

"I had hints I might play a couple of days ago when the coach and the captain said ‘be ready’."
