Colombo - Sri Lanka Cricket says it will offer its "fullest co-operation" with the International Cricket Council over allegations of plans to fix matches in the country.

A report in British newspaper Daily Telegraph, based on footage to be shown in a documentary on Al Jazeera on Sunday, alleged a groundsman had told an undercover reporter he could prepare pitches which would prevent a game ending in a draw.

It was suggested that England's first test against Sri Lanka in Galle in November could be manipulated in such a way, allowing anyone involved to bet against the draw and therefore profit.

Sri Lanka Cricket said on Saturday it was "constantly engaged with the ICC and is following its guidelines on how to handle anti-corruption operations for the forthcoming tours in Sri Lanka."

The ICC has said it is investigating the allegations and the England and Wales Cricket Board said it is "aware of the planned Al Jazeera documentary, though not the full content. We endorse the ICC's position and fully support their work and investigations."
