Sun City - Herschelle Gibbs, Chris Potgieter, Harry Rossouw and Jannie Venter won with a solid 93 points in what was the final opportunity for the professional golfers, celebrities and businessmen to get a look at the Lost City course before this 36-hole charity tournament tees off on Saturday.

"I'm happy to be in the winning fourball for the Pro-Am, so things have started on the right note," said Gibbs, who last played in the Gary Player Invitational in 2002.

"I was very nervous then so I'm looking forward to doing well this weekend."

Double US Open champion Retief Goosen served warning with his individual round of 65. And tournament host Player scored a solid level par 72.

American actor Anthony Anderson was still suffering some jetlag as he made a total of 32 individual points off his 14 handicap. But he wasn't too concerned about what it meant for the tournament.

"This was just practice for me. Today was fun. Saturday and Sunday is when I bring my A game out. And I didn't come here to lose."

This is Anderson's first visit to South Africa, and top of his list of things to do has been a safari into the nearby Pilanesberg Game Reserve. "I can't wait to go on a safari. The only animals I've ever seen have been in a zoo."

Cheyenne Woods also enjoyed her first look at the Lost City Golf Course.

"It's been amazing so far. The resort and golf course is beautiful. There are so many great views on this course, and I love the 13th hole with the crocodiles."
