Cape Town – The wind hit the Fish River Sun course early on Thursday morning and caused the abandonment of the second round, the reduction of the R700,000 Sun Fish River Sun Challenge tournament to 36 holes.

The tournament will be completed as the final round gets underway on Friday at 6.20am, with rookie Rourke van der Spuy heading the leaderboard on seven-under-par 65 according to the Sunshine Tour website

He is closely followed by another rookie, Otto van Greunen, on six-under 66, with Colin Nel, Lindani Ndwandwe, MJ Viljoen and Callum Mowat sharing third on five-under-par.
