Cape Town - Following the Proteas' recent loss, Sport24 readers believe Michael Clarke might be right about Australia having the best bowling attack in world cricket.

After Australia's humiliating 5-0 whitewash of England in the Ashes series, the Australian captain had boldly proclaimed his team the 'best bowling attack in the world', which at the time provoked an angry backlash from SA fans who accused Clarke of arrogance.

However, after Australia's recent dominance over the Proteas in the first Test at SuperSport Park in Centurion, Clarke seems to have been vindicated, with those polled split between which of the two sides boasts the world's No 1 attack.

An overwhelming majority of 94% of the voters believed that the best bowling attack in the world belonged to either South Africa or Australia.

Sport24 asked:

"Which team has the best bowling attack in the world?"

These were the results:

47% - Proteas
47% - Australia
6% - Neither of them
