Cape Town - Wayde van Niekerk broke another world record when he raced home in the rarely-run 300m at the Golden Spike meet at the Mestsky Stadium in the north eastern Czech city of Ostrava on Wednesday.
Van Niekerk shattered yet another Michael Johnson record, stopping the clock in a time of 30.81 seconds.
He broke the 17-year standing time, bettering Johnson's 30.85 seconds he set in Pretoria in March 2000.
Van Niekerk is now the first athlete to break 10 seconds for the 100m, 20 seconds for the 200m, 31 seconds for the 300m and 44 seconds for the 400m.
Last year at the Rio Olympics, Van Niekerk broke Johnson's 400m world record of 43.18 seconds which had stood since 1999, running 43.03 as he set the Olympic Stadium alight.
It didn't take long for Twitter and South Africans to send their congratulations Van Niekerk's way.
