Roland, Chad to bag 1st gold?

Cape Town - Swimming stars Roland Schoeman and Chad le Clos offer Team SA a double shot at their first gold medal of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

Schoeman and Le Clos qualified second and third fastest respectively for the men's 50m butterfly final, which is scheduled to take place at 20:07 SA time on Friday.

Bookmakers have installed unheralded Englishman Ben Proud the race favourite (5/6), ahead of veteran Schoeman (11/10) and Le Clos (11/2).

At the time of writing, Team SA have two bronzes medals and sit 10th in the medal standings.
