Cape Town - Next weekend, Floyd Mayweather will be putting his 49-0 undefeated record on the line when he takes on Conor McGregor in one of the most highly-anticipated boxing matches of all time.

Dubbed 'The Money Fight', Mayweather is expected to walk away with nothing less than $180 million (R2.3 billion), but the two fighters are not the only ones who are in line to make some money.

Betting on this fight started a long time ago, with bookmakers installing Mayweather as the overwhelming favourite

And those short odds didn't deter the Maloof brothers.

Joe, Gavin and Phil Maloof - the former owners of the NBA's Sacramento Kings - have put down $880 000 (R11.6 million) on Mayweather to win the fight.

If they win, they will make a profit of $120 000 (R1.5 million).

According to website MMAmania, the billionaire brothers have confirmed that, should they win, all of their profits will go to charity.

The Las Vegas fight will be broadcast live on SuperSport 2 at 05:00 (SA time) on Sunday, August 27.
