Two major trophies in the Loftus cabinet... the Bulls' class of 2020/21 now have something in common with their illustrious Pretoria predecessors of the more conventional 2009 rugby year.

The environment has changed a fair bit in the interim period, and much of it down to the devastating effects - on life, and the game - of the coronavirus pandemic since early 2020.

Yet, the fact remains that the current Bulls outfit, masterminded off-pitch by Jake White and on it by Duane Vermeulen, have emulated 2009 in winning a pair of items of significant silverware in the same "season", having added on Saturday the Currie Cup to their earlier success in Super Rugby Unlocked.
