Cape Town - Free State Cheetahs prop Ox Nche says he is disappointed at his omission from the Springbok squad, but he will be patient.

Nche had an outstanding Currie Cup season for the title winning Cheetahs with a handful of Man-of-the-Match performances, which made his omission from the two Bok squads for the Barbarians match and the rest of the November Tests a surprising one.

"I'm obviously disappointed not being picked for either squad, but if it means I become a better player then so be it," Nche told Netwerk24.

"It's still my dream to play for the Springboks, but I'm in no rush to get picked. If it happens it happens."

Daan Human, scrum coach at Free State, says Nche should stay positive and be patient, because he is destined to play for the Boks one day.

"Believe me, he's going to play many Tests for South Africa," Human said. "He will get there. In a year's time he will have gained more experience and then I want to see who keeps him out of the Springbok team."
