The investment that MVM Holdings has made in the Sharks goes far beyond the initial outlay of capital that secured the American consortium a 51% controlling stake in the union.
A figure has not been confirmed, but it is understood that MVM paid in the region of $6 million (around R92 million) to become the majority shareholder in one of the country's premier rugby franchises.
