Cape Town - Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer is wary of the threat posed by Australian wing Israel Folau ahead of their Rugby Championship Test in Brisbane on Saturday.

QUIZ: Sport24's highly addictive, yet almost impossible quiz!

The 24-year-old former rugby league star joined union this year and has since played five Tests for the Wallabies, scoring three tries.

Meyer, in an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald website, said Folau is one of the best game-breakers in world rugby and knows his side's defences must be top notch this weekend.

"I don't want to talk the Wallabies up; I want to talk my own team up, but he's been a revelation to watch in Super Rugby," Meyer said. "At the end of the day it doesn't matter which country you coach, I love to see him play."

Folau also had a stellar season for the Waratahs and did particularly well against South African sides in Super Rugby.

"I really believe he's one of the best game breakers in world rugby and he's only played properly for (one) season," continued Meyer.

The Springboks have played seven Tests at Suncorp Stadium and never won at a ground considered by many in the Australian squad to be the spiritual home of the Wallabies.

Kick-off 12:05 (SA time) on Saturday.
