Cape Town - Australia captain James Horwill sees the apparent uphill challenge against a fired-up and in-form South Africa in the Rugby Championship on Saturday as an "opportunity" for the struggling Wallabies.

Few are backing Australia to end a five-game losing run at Newlands and win there for the first time since 1992, especially after going down 38-12 to the Springboks at home three weeks ago.

But while conceding the Boks deserve to be favorites, fit-again lock Horwill said on Friday that the game is "an exciting opportunity as there are a lot of people out there that do not give us a chance."

Against the physical South Africans, Horwill says his team will rely on its "mobile" forwards who are "good with the ball in hand."
